Longtime favorite Hacienda Mexican Restaurant offers one of the most relaxed dining atmospheres in St. Louis, featuring a large indoor dining room and an expansive outdoor seating area. The well-stocked indoor bar and the front lounge offer sangria, margaritas and imported beers along with weekday appetizer and drink specials that make Hacienda's happy hour one of the city's most popular. The extensive menu incorporates Southwestern and Mexican spices in every dish, with lots of chili, lime and even ingredients such as chorizo and cactus strips. There's a wide range of moderately priced Tex-Mex staples (fajitas, enchiladas, tacos, burritos and nachos), as well as traditional Mexican dishes such as carne asada a la Tampiquena (marinated grilled strip steak with a cheese enchilada, black beans and guacamole). The menu also features some traditionally American dishes including potato skins, grilled New York strip and baby back ribs with a chipotle-honey sauce. Cleanse your palate and give into the demands of your sweet tooth with the chocolate Kahlua bowl (a specialty sopaipilla) or the banana taco (a creative twist on bananas Foster). Full bar.
