A meal at chef/owner Michael Symon's Lola should certainly be included on the list of things not to miss during a visit to Cleveland. This native talent, the 2007 Iron Chef winner on the Food Network, earned his degree from the Culinary Institute of America and returned to his Cleveland stomping grounds to capture the vibrancy of the city he loves with a progressive menu of creative bistro fare. Symon's sexy Tremont district eatery has recently gained much national attention, earning him a regular spot on the Food Network, as well as the 2009 James Beard Foundation winner for Best Chef: Great Lakes. Just remember, you're in mushroom country, so do try the wild mushroom appetizer or the bone-in rib eye with morels and ramps, when available. Full bar. Serving lunch Mon–Fri, dinner Mon–Sat. Closed Sun. A 2009 Cleveland magazine Silver Spoon Award winner for Best Local Chef, Best Fine Dining, Best Plate Presentation and Best Decor.
