From the restaurant's website:
"What is Beast??? An adventurous eaters paradise. A Restaurant with a European edge -- with a nod to the French, and roots in the local farm Scene. Each day chef Naomi Pomeroy along with her sous chef, Mika Paredes, develop menus based on what sounds great, right and true for one day in time. Beast is prix fixe. There are no choices."
Reservations suggested, with two seatings nightly. Beer and wine available. Serving dinner Wed–Sat. Sun brunch 11 am–2 pm. Closed Mon–Tue. Named co-winner of the 2008 Restaurant of the Year (with Le Pigeon) in The Oregonian and Best Chef, Best Brunch of 2008 by Portland Monthly. Named one of Portland's Top 100 Restaurants of 2008 by the Willamette Week.
"Beast is gutsy, staking its reputation on a fixed-price French bistro menu boldly punctuated by meat -- and often the sounds of the Rolling Stones -- with no choices or substitutions in the multicourse meal. But Beast is pretty, a casually elegant room where communal tables glint with sensual blown glass and candles flicker all night long, casting pale pink shadows off rouge-colored walls -- a flattering light that can wipe 10 years of reality off your face."
