Consistently ranked among the nation's top steak houses, Charley's Steak House remains the cornerstone venture of local, family-owned Talk of the Town Restaurant Group. The four Central Florida locations boast individual ambiances, but each uses the same painstaking preparation of beef – derived from an old Seminole Indian method – aging cuts for up to six weeks, then hand-seasoning and cooking them over the open flame of a custom-built wood-burning grill. The result? Some of the finest two- to three-inch thick filets, porterhouses and New York strips in the state. The signature Ultimate Surf and Turf, a whopping 50-ounce filet with a two-pound Australian lobster tail to boot, may be one of the largest dishes anywhere.
