From the restaurant's website:
"In the past, Thara and Dottie Burana could not find any good Thai food in the Memphis area besides his own home cooking. Their special Thai meals would often be available in the way of entertaining their friends and family with his cooking at home or friend's house. And when they were out of town on the soccer trips with their sons, Greg and Brett, they would always take the whole team to dine at the Thai restaurant at every town or cities. Thara and Dottie decided to open their first Bangkok Alley in the year of 2002 on Germantown Parkway in Cordova. Chef Gai, native of Bangkok and family's friend, moved from Detroit to head up the kitchen. Now, with two locations, Chef Chalee, also from Bangkok, has teamed up to assure quality and improve the growing demand operation. ... Beside the wonderful traditional Thai dishes, several unique and exciting chefs' own creation dishes are offered, in the wide range of fresh fish, seafood, beef steak, and roast duck. It is difficult to list every wonderful dish in the menu; instead, daily specials are regularly offered for extra enjoyment."
