Off the radar for some folks, Asiana Garden is a great date spot – particularly for ladies who want to dazzle their barbecue-loving men with an international take on the local favorite. After all, there aren't too many places in town that serve Korean barbecue, much less allow you to cook it yourself. Get things going on your very own inset grill with slices of marinated beef, chicken and pork, and a pair of metal tongs. Like a cross between Japanese teriyaki and Thai satay, this barbecue packs a one-two-three punch of sweet, salty and spicy-hot flavors. Once the meat is cooked to your liking, chop it up with the provided kitchen shears, add a dollop of miso paste, and roll it into a romaine lettuce leaf. Pop the finger food into your mouth, and savor every swallow. Lest your temperature rise too high, graze on side orders of daikon radish and sliced lotus root or cucumber and crab salad. Craving more heat? Dig into the vinegary kimchi, a mainstay of Korean cuisine, or the sauced jalapeños, which are served with red chilies. Feeling overly cautious? Stick to the regular menu, which offers inexpensive but delicious Asian favorites such as chow mein, fried rice and egg noodle soup. Beer available. Serving lunch and dinner daily.
