Michael "Mico" Rodriguez, his wife, Carolina, and three business partners opened the first 12-table Mi Cocina restaurant in Dallas in 1991. By 1998, the partners had expanded what had become the popular local chain of eateries into the well-respected M Crowd Restaurant Group, made up of casual, fine-dining and other restaurant concepts. Flagship venture Mi Cocina offers nearly 20 locations with unique décor inspired by the surrounding neighborhoods, each specializing in Tex-Mex dishes as well as traditional Mexican fare. Several egg dishes are served all day as well, including huevos con chorizo (sautéed eggs with house-made Mexican sausage and fried potatoes). Full bar. Serving lunch and dinner daily.
