Owner Blair Taylor and his Barolo Grill are almost as well known for the staff's annual trip to Italy as for the restaurant's stellar Italian food and extensive wine list. Northern Italian cuisine is the theme, and the well-traveled staff can describe each dish's ingredients upon request, as well as suggest appropriate wine pairings. The menu changes seasonally, and the specials reflect what's fresh that day, with an emphasis on sauces, fresh produce and handmade pastas. Elegant desserts range from lemon cake to panna cotta.
