Home to two Buffalo specialties, frozen custard and beef on weck sandwiches, Anderson's Custard got its start in New York City in 1946. By 1947, homesick founders Carl and Greta Anderson had moved their custard stand to Buffalo, where it became a beloved local franchise. The hearty side of the menu features the savory local tradition of roast beef on a kummelweck roll. Then there's the custard – a sublime soft-serve concoction with a silky egg-rich base that's sold by the cone or dish, or used in sundaes and banana splits. Special flavors are produced daily to supplement the 19 regular varieties on the menu. No alcohol available. Serving lunch and dinner daily. Named Best Frozen Custard and tied for Best Weck in the 2007 Buffalo Spree magazine poll.
